Please Ladies and friends of the Ladies email and write your local representative to oppose the “Partial Birth” abortion bill. It has already passed in the Senate and now it is in the House and we need all the support we can get in stopping this unconstitutional abortion ban. Here is a link to Planned Parenthood with a form letter you can email and there is also an option to print it out and mail it. I know that they give more value to written mail than email so if you can try and do both. It is unbelievable to me what is happening right under our noses while everyone else is looking to the war (not that I think that is a bad thing) we as women our losing the right to make our own decisions about our bodies. Please do what you can!
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong,is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."
-Theodore Roosevelt in 1918, challenged Woodrow Wilson's sweeping crackdown against dissent after the American entry into World War I. While Roosevelt was a major supporter of WWI, he firmly believed the public should be allowed to express dissent.
I wrote a letter to the president myself the other day and no it actually wasn’t a form letter. This is the first time in my life that I’ve done this but I felt it must be done even if he wasn’t going to read it. I don’t have my letter so here is one from Michael to tide you over.

George W. Bush
1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Washington, DC
Dear Governor Bush:
So today is what you call "the moment of truth," the day that "France and
the rest of world have to show their cards on the table." I'm glad to hear
that this day has finally arrived. Because, I gotta tell ya, having survived
440 days of your lying and conniving, I wasn't sure if I could take much
more. So I'm glad to hear that today is Truth Day, 'cause I got a few truths
I would like to share with you:
1. There is virtually NO ONE in America (talk radio nutters and Fox News
aside) who is gung-ho to go to war. Trust me on this one. Walk out of the
White House and on to any street in America and try to find five people who
are PASSIONATE about wanting to kill Iraqis. YOU WON'T FIND THEM! Why?
'Cause NO Iraqis have ever come here and killed any of us! No Iraqi has even
threatened to do that. You see, this is how we average Americans think: If a
certain so-and-so is not perceived as a threat to our lives, then, believe
it or not, we don't want to kill him! Funny how that works!
2. The majority of Americans -- the ones who never elected you -- are not
fooled by your weapons of mass distraction. We know what the real issues are
that affect our daily lives -- and none of them begin with I or end in Q.
Here's what threatens us: two and a half million jobs lost since you took
office, the stock market having become a cruel joke, no one knowing if their
retirement funds are going to be there, gas now costs almost two dollars --
the list goes on and on. Bombing Iraq will not make any of this go away.
Only you need to go away for things to improve.
3. As Bill Maher said last week, how bad do you have to suck to lose a
popularity contest with Saddam Hussein? The whole world is against you, Mr.
Bush. Count your fellow Americans among them.
4. The Pope has said this war is wrong, that it is a SIN. The Pope! But even
worse, the Dixie Chicks have now come out against you! How bad does it have
to get before you realize that you are an army of one on this war? Of
course, this is a war you personally won't have to fight. Just like when you
went AWOL while the poor were shipped to Vietnam in your place.
5. Of the 535 members of Congress, only ONE (Sen. Johnson of South Dakota)
has an enlisted son or daughter in the armed forces! If you really want to
stand up for America, please send your twin daughters over to Kuwait right
now and let them don their chemical warfare suits. And let's see every
member of Congress with a child of military age also sacrifice their kids
for this war effort. What's that you say? You don't THINK so? Well, hey,
guess what -- we don't think so either!
6. Finally, we love France. Yes, they have pulled some royal screw-ups. Yes,
some of them can be pretty damn annoying. But have you forgotten we wouldn't
even have this country known as America if it weren't for the French? That
it was their help in the Revolutionary War that won it for us? That our
greatest thinkers and founding fathers -- Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin,
etc. -- spent many years in Paris where they refined the concepts that lead
to our Declaration of Independence and our Constitution? That it was France
who gave us our Statue of Liberty, a Frenchman who built the Chevrolet, and
a pair of French brothers who invented the movies? And now they are doing
what only a good friend can do -- tell you the truth about yourself,
straight, no b.s. Quit pissing on the French and thank them for getting it
right for once. You know, you really should have traveled more (like once)
before you took over. Your ignorance of the world has not only made you look
stupid, it has painted you into a corner you can't get out of.
Well, cheer up -- there IS good news. If you do go through with this war,
more than likely it will be over soon because I'm guessing there aren't a
lot of Iraqis willing to lay down their lives to protect Saddam Hussein.
After you "win" the war, you will enjoy a huge bump in the popularity polls
as everyone loves a winner -- and who doesn't like to see a good
ass-whoopin' every now and then (especially when it 's some third world
ass!). So try your best to ride this victory all the way to next year's
election. Of course, that's still a long ways away, so we'll all get to have
a good hardy-har-har while we watch the economy sink even further down the
toilet!
But, hey, who knows -- maybe you'll find Osama a few days before the
election! See, start thinking like THAT! Keep hope alive! Kill Iraqis --
they got our oil!!
Yours,
Michael Moore

It started around 3:30pm Friday with just a little scratch in the back of my throat. I took some vitamins and wished for my Yin Chiao. I was told that it was just the dust from all the paper we were gathering to shred; my office is moving locations soon. But even after I left and was on my way home or to the bar it just kept getting worse. So I opted to go home and rest, I was going to see my sister, mom, grandfather & other family members the next day. I woke up Saturday unable to breath, body feeling like lead with a slight fever, I had to make the hard choice whether or not to go up to Live Oak. I really felt like crap so I decided that the best think for me and really for my family was to not go up and just see how I felt on Sunday. The hard part was telling this to my mom & sister. They really weren’t happy with my decision and really I wasn’t either but there just wasn’t anything I could do. My grandfather just got out of the hospital yesterday and I couldn’t imagine that it would be a good idea to be around him, even if my sister told me that it would be o.k. So I slept in between the sneezing, blowing, snoting and coughing. I awoke this morning and realized that it wasn’t a good idea to try again today considering I was still sick and my mother had to leave for the airport around 11:15am, I probably wouldn’t have gotten to seen her even if I did get to see the rest of them. The guilt was really getting to me, you know how your family always has a way of doing that, but I called them to tell them the news. It actually wasn’t as bad as I had thought and I got to say goodbye to my mom and talk with my grandpa for awhile. I was really bummed about not getting to see my mom. We have our issues but we are finally starting to get close again so it would have been good to see her. I miss my family a lot and they rarely get out here. I guess it just wasn’t meant to be even though I would have liked otherwise.

We all know that our government has the utmost respect and concern for our safety.
Here is a link to help you get the important information you need in case of a terrorist attack.
My stupid Hotmail is not working.
So I guess I will just have to wait to read my Squid List.
Green - You believe that small economic units should control the goods, and that the government should be permissive of "victimless crimes," respectful of civil liberties and very strict towards big business. You also believe in either a socialist tax structure or more power to local communities. You think that environmental policies should be written into law. Your historical role model is Ralf Nader.

I’ve been smoke free for a year and a day now!
(if you don’t count the couple of puffs I stole during a night of debauchery)
I’ve been in a romantic dream all week. It could have something to do with the beautiful spring-like weather we have been having or the romantic movies I’ve been watching or maybe just maybe it is because I love being in love. It isn’t all roses and sunshine all the time but when it is, all is right in my world. The only problem with this is my work suffers and my boy isn’t on the same page right now. So instead I sit and fantasize most of the day and don’t get anything done.
But I really don’t care, I like living in this world where everything is about beauty and love!
First and foremost I would like to seriously thank all of my fabulous friends that attended the many gatherings held in the honor of my birth. I had a great time bowling, drinking, laughing, singing and picking up spares. I feel very blessed to have such amazing people in my life!
I had an equally super time on Friday hanging with people I haven’t seen an awhile, drinking and admiring my new sexy shoes. There was some sadness on my day as well, two people I know died and then of course there was Mr. Rodgers. It’s funny how there can be so much joy along with so much death.
All in all I had a great 33rd birthday thanks to my friends and quite a few pitchers of Beer!
